If we have to believe the makers, we have with the arrival of The Last House (2026) a lot to prepare ourselves for. The thriller can be seen on Netflix from August and the official poster was unveiled this week. There is already great interest in the film. Netflix also expects the film to receive a lot of attention and is organizing special screenings.
Trapped in your own home
The Last House is a psychological science fiction thriller in which a seemingly normal family suddenly discovers that they are trapped in their own home. The main roles are played by Wagner Moura and Greta Lee who play the roles of Jason and Ann. The couple with two children suddenly discovers that escaping from their own home is impossible. The doors and windows offer no way out and any attempt to leave the house immediately fails. As if all that wasn’t enough, they are also confronted with a mysterious and invisible threat. We slowly find out why they are captured and what is happening outside the house.
Cast
In addition to Moura and Lee, the film also stars Gabriel Barbosa, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski and Riley Chung. The direction is in the hands of Louis Leterrier, known for, among other things Tycoon (2024), Now You See Me (2013) in The Incredible Hulk (2008).
