New set photos have surfaced and they show that there is a good chance that Jennifer Garner has landed a role in the new Netflix production. Set photos have surfaced, Variety shares in a message. In these photos, Garner and Judy Greer, who played two friends/rivals in the original, can be seen together with the new protagonists. The two, fully dressed in costumes, were set to shoot a scene with Emily Bader and Logan Lerman. Netflix has not yet shared whether Garner and Greer will officially return, but it has more or less been confirmed that we will also see the two in front of the camera.
Original movie
In the original film, also starring Mark Ruffalo and Andy Serkis, we travel back to the year 1987. Jenna invites all her popular classmates to her thirteenth birthday, but the party quickly turns into a drama when her ‘friends’ embarrass her and lock her in a closet. Jenna desperately wishes she could skip those bad teen years and be thirty straight away. When she wakes up the next day, it is suddenly 2004. She is thirty years old and her wish has come true.
