The Spree is this 400 kilometer long river which has its source on the Czech border, meanders through the heart of Berlin, the German capital, before flowing into the majestic Elbe River. Wide and calm, the Spree is not only an integral part of Berliners’ urban landscape, but it is also the source of 70% of their drinking water.
