The recordings of Marshals (2026– ) season 2 are now in full swing. Logan Marshall-Green, who plays Pete Calvin, recently confirmed that filming has been going on since mid-May. The actor also revealed a striking detail about the plot. The emotional storyline surrounding Cal appears to be based on a true experience of one of the makers. This experience will be further highlighted in the second season.
A true story component
One of the most moving aspects of the first season was the announcement that Calvin has a rare form of lung cancer. In season 2, the makers really want to show the impact of the disease. Because the story is based on a personal experience of production manager Spencer Hudnut, it is possible to tell it as honestly and realistically as possible. It is striking that Marshall-Green consciously does not want to know where the story ends. He has not yet been informed of how Cal’s battle against cancer will proceed.
Clarity about speculation about the departure of 2 actors
There was some unrest among fans of the series after the first images of the new season appeared. After the season 1 cliffhanger in which Cal and Belle Skinner were ambushed and under fire, fans immediately noticed that both characters were completely missing from the first footage of season 2. This quickly led to speculation about a possible departure of Marshall-Green and Arielle Kebbel. It is now clear that Marshall-Green will certainly not leave and will in fact have a greater role than before. Kebbel has also reassured viewers and assures that she will resume her role in the second season. According to the actress, although both Belle and Cal did not survive the shooting unscathed, their story is far from over.
