Never before have subscribers watched content on Netflix for so long in the first six months of the year. In total, we watched more than 97 billion hours on the streaming service, with which Netflix has registered a record number of viewing hours. We can conclude that we stream more than ever before.
War Machine
Of all the movies that have come out War Machine (2026) with 147 million views, the most viewed film in the first half of 2026. Closely followed The Rip (2026) with 136 million views and animated film Swapped (2026) with 131 million views. In addition, it was also KPop Demon Hunters (2025), which premiered last year, was still extremely popular with 130 million views. The Dutch film that was streamed the most, with 5 million views, was iHostage (2025). The Dutch production was released last year.

Amsterdam Empire (2025– ) was the most watched Dutch series with 2 million views.
