A Doordash delivery driver was able to complete her delivery in Houston, Texas, last week, despite being hit by a vehicle involved in a police chase.
The incident occurred on July 8 when Miracle Herron, 23, had just parked in front of the residence where she was to deliver an order, according to FOX 5.
A video obtained by CNN shows the woman getting out of her vehicle before a gray vehicle, which was fleeing the police, comes and hits her.
“I backed into my vehicle to give him space to pass, and by the time I realized I was going to be hit, the car was right in front of me,” she said in an interview with local channel ABC13.
Thrown onto the bumper of the other car, Ms. Herron took only a few seconds to regain her senses before completing the delivery she had come to make.
“I just wanted to make sure the person got their food.” I didn’t want them to think I stole it. I was just trying to pay my bills,” she said.
“I think it’s a miracle that I came out unscathed, no broken bones or anything like that,” she added.
Ms Herron, however, said she suffered pain in her back, neck and leg following the accident.
For his part, the driver of the other vehicle, Torrence Whitaker, was the subject of an arrest warrant for robbery and was fleeing the police who were trying to intercept him, according to reports People.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with the car crash.
