Netflix has roped in Robert De Niro for a new Original. The iconic actor has already appeared in Zero Day (2025), but can also be admired at the end of August The Whisper Mana suspenseful thriller about a notorious serial killer. The new film, based on Alex North’s bestseller, also features Adam Scott, Michelle Monaghan and Hamish Linklater.

When his eight-year-old son is kidnapped, a widower and crime writer turns to his estranged father, a retired detective, for help. During their search, however, he stumbles upon a chilling connection to a decades-old case involving a convicted serial killer known as ‘The Whisper Man’.
