On January 10, 2025, the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration, you called on him to respect human dignity and show mercy to minorities. Your sermon resonated around the world. Looking back, do you consider it an act of courage?
It is always difficult to interpret one’s own actions. I think I did my best to express what I believed, and what many people felt and experienced in our country. I wanted to assure them that they are an important part of our nation. That they are listened to.
