Gianni Infantino, head of the International Football Federation (Fifa), made the whole world laugh last December, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, when he decided to present the Fifa “peace prize” to Donald Trump, president of one of the host countries of the 2026 World Cup (the United States hosting the event with Canada and Mexico). This prize out of nowhere, which no one had ever heard of before the day Trump was awarded it, appears not only to be an ad hoc prize, tailor-made for this edition of the competition in the United States of America, but also a special Donald prize, in the form of a consolation prize for the Nobel Peace Prize, which it seems that yellow-haired man really believed he deserved one day.
