
Initially closer to Rome than the Society of Saint Pius X, a Scottish Lefebvrist religious congregation, recognized by the Catholic Church since 2012, is reversing its strategy. After the ordination, on July 1, of four bishops of the Society without pontifical mandate, the transalpine Redemptorists will in turn ordain their own bishop on July 25. They announced on June 18 that their founder would receive an episcopal consecration from the hands of Pierre Roy, sedevacantist bishop and former member of the Society of Saint-Pie-X.
