Sadie Sink reveals in a new interview how secretive her role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) has expired. The actress, known for Stranger Things (2016–2025), did not have to audition for the film and was only given the script when she was on her way to the film set.
Direct offer thanks to previous collaboration
Sink already worked with director Destin Daniel Cretton on the drama film in 2017 The Glass Castle (2017). This collaboration turned out to be decisive: she was given her role Spider-Man: Brand New Day offered directly. According to Sink, the studio was so reluctant to share details that the script was only shared with her after she landed in London, the location of the film’s set.
Identity remains a mystery
Who Sink will play in the film remains unknown at this time. She has not appeared in any trailer or promotional images so far. The theory has been circulating among fans for some time that she will portray a young version of Jean Grey, in anticipation of the introduction of the X-Men into the universe. This has not been confirmed by Marvel.
