In Los Angeles, AJ, a discreet high school student meets Kristen, a surfing enthusiast. They fall madly in love, but everything changes when Kristen falls ill. Carried by the strength of their love and their new common passion, they launch together into a fight against adversity.
Our opinion: The film is an adaptation of the (autobio)graphic novel of the same name by the American AJ Dungo. He manages to amplify the strengths and mitigate the flaws of this romance with a surfer broken down by illness. Focusing on a love story that grips the heart, the screenplay gets rid of the tearful overtones of the original story. The film also dazzles with its undulating aquatic scenes reflecting the moods of the young characters.

At 32, Fanny (Aloïse Sauvage), in debt and forced to return to live with her parents after a disastrous marriage, has the firm intention of becoming a mermaid after becoming ecstatic over the online videos of Anémone (Alison Wheeler), a professional mermaid. While she acquires an expensive fin, the young woman trains at the municipal swimming pool and, secretly, in a tank in her factory where Tintin (Thomas VDB) becomes a caring and committed trainer.
Our opinion: Aloïse Sauvage impresses with the naturalness and subtlety of her acting, and brings a facetious roughness to Fanny who pays for her refusal of standards. Her efforts are also those of the actress who trained for eight months to evolve with a fin and master a few figures. A deep tenderness surrounds the characters of this social comedy.

Serge, a host of a small radio station, whose scope is restricted to a campsite called “Le temps des Cerises”, goes through an existential crisis when the said campsite is threatened with eviction: in an idyllic setting, developers wish to install an amusement park there. Through the airwaves, he calls for rebellion, which the local inhabitants hear differently.
Our opinion: A Field of Strawberries for Eternity gains substance over the course of its chapters. Around each of these couples, a small slice of humanity emerges, with actors from contrasting worlds but whose beautiful alchemy is touching. Personal concerns are woven together, and, with undeniable poetic grace, an endearing tribe is born.
