Putin says he is waiting for American negotiators to come

Russian President Vladimir Putin assured on Sunday that he was “waiting” for the arrival of American negotiators to resume negotiations on Ukraine once Washington is less occupied by Iran.

“We are waiting, once all the events are over, the hot phase on the Iranian file is completed, the arrival of these representatives of the American administration whom we have already met in Moscow,” declared Vladimir Putin in an interview with a Russian journalist published by the Kremlin.

He was responding to a question on the state of Russian-American relations after the G7 in France during which the American president estimated that “Russia should conclude an agreement” with Ukraine to end the conflict.

Putin recognizes “a certain shortage” of fuel

Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged in an interview published by the Kremlin “a certain shortage” of fuel caused by kyiv’s repeated strikes on Russian hydrocarbon infrastructure in an attempt to weaken Moscow’s war effort.

“Of course, these strikes against our infrastructure installations create problems, that’s obvious. We are currently observing a certain shortage, but it is not critical,” said Vladimir Putin.

Putin promises to “ensure” Russia’s security

Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to “ensure” the country’s security and confront “challenges” as kyiv continues its strikes on Russian military and hydrocarbon infrastructure in an attempt to weaken Moscow’s war effort.

“We see the problems. We recognize them and we respond to them. But we will undoubtedly ensure the security of the country and our citizens,” said Vladimir Putin during a congress of his party, United Russia, gathered in view of the legislative elections in September.

“We will undoubtedly meet all the challenges we face today, including terrorist attacks against our territory and infrastructure,” he added.

kyiv targeted by missile attack

A ballistic missile attack was launched in the early hours of Sunday in kyiv, according to the Ukrainian army and the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko.

According to the air force, the city faced a ballistic missile attack, with Vitali Klitschko calling on people to stay in shelters.
