While one is currently completely absorbed in rom-coms such as Voicemails for Isabelle (2026), Office Romance (2026) in The Four Seasons (2025– ), the other prefers more serious documentaries such as the endlessly popular ones Maternal Instinct (2026) of Michael Jackson: The Verdict (2026). For those who prefer something engaging and educational, this is the moment The American Experiment (2026) highly recommended. The series, which has been available on Netflix since earlier this week, has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Top rated
The American Experiment may not (yet) be the most popular series of the moment, but it is certainly the best-rated. The production was released to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and takes the viewer back to the year it all began, 1776. The origins of the US and the role of important historical figures are highlighted, while actor Martin Sheen acts as narrator to connect the events. In addition, Hillary Clinton, Mike Pence, Ted Cruz and Kamala Harris, among others, will speak to provide context to the historical events.
The reviews
The reviews are unanimously positive. So it becomes The American Experiment praised for the accessible way in which the history of the United States is told and the clever link with current events. The smooth narrative style and the in-depth look at the development of the country are also mentioned as major advantages by various media.
