All the ingredients for a new Netflix hit seem to be coming together. Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour, for millions of viewers, names that are inextricably linked to Eleven and Hopper Stranger Things (2016–2025), join forces again. They’ll soon play an estranged father and daughter in a new Netflix spy series written by Jack Thorne, creator of Adolescence (2025– ) and writer of the Enola Holmes films.
Father and daughter reunited
Brown and Harbor will star together in a spy series that centers on Matt Wolfe, a former FBI agent who, after being embroiled in scandal, now works as a security expert. When his estranged daughter Rebecca, now an FBI agent herself, disappears without a trace during a dangerous mission, he is forced to return to the world he thought he had left behind forever.
A perfect thriller
According to Jinny Howe, head of scripted series for Netflix in the US and Canada, the series indeed brings together everything a good thriller needs. She especially praises writer Thorne’s ability to make exciting stories recognizable. In addition, she estimates that subscribers will be thrilled to see Brown and Harbor reunited as father and daughter.
