Hulu has shared the trailer for Furious (2026), a brand new thriller series about an FBI agent who comes on the trail of a female serial killer. Years after the series’ heyday Shameless (2011–2021) and her biggest film roles, we see Emmy Rossum emerge as the main character.
Death in the eyes
In Furious the lives of the serial killer in question and the agent (Rossum) who is hunting her become increasingly intertwined. The brand new trailer makes no bones about it and immediately shows how a man with difficulty breathing looks death straight in the eye:
Back from being away
Chances are you’ve (indirectly) heard of series creator Elizabeth Meriwether, because before Furious she was already working on the long-term project New Girl (2011–2018), to the praised Dying for Sex (2025) and on The Dropout (2022) with Amanda Seyfried. Lead actress Emmy Rossum last acted in the Apple series The Crowded Room (2023) and previously played Fiona Gallagher for many years Shameless. Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing (2024)) takes on the role of the antagonist.
