Who says heatwave says fan (if you are not equipped with air conditioning). Who says fan says fan noise. And who says fan noise means endless whirring which ends up hitting the system. My fan anyway. Obviously I can lower it. Which means it makes less noise. But also, consequently, that it is less effective. And, therefore, it cools less. And, therefore, we are warmer. So we reassemble the fan. We put it, let’s say, on 3 (the maximum on my fan). Obviously, we don’t feel as hot. But, just as obviously, we are fed up with the ringing in our ears again. This is the human condition in these warming times.
