That Office Romance (2026) got off to a good start, it was already clear, but the romantic comedy with Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein is doing great again in its second week. The film once again managed to achieve impressive numbers and attracted more than 24 million viewers within seven days. This puts the romcom at the top of the worldwide Netflix top 10.

Secret romance

In Office Romance Lopez plays the perfectionist CEO of an airline. Her carefully controlled life is turned upside down when an ambitious lawyer joins the firm. Although the two initially try to ignore their attraction to each other, a secret relationship eventually develops that causes complications. In addition to Lopez and Goldstein, the film also stars Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradlet Whitford and Edward James Olmos.

Outrage over explicit scene

Even weeks after release it remains Office Romance widely discussed on social media. The film is seen as an old-fashioned romantic comedy like Hollywood used to make. Meanwhile, one specific scene is also discussed in detail. There are mixed reactions to the scene where Gilpin’s character gives birth. Viewers got the fright of their lives. While romantic comedies aren’t usually known for explicit childbirth scenes, choose Office Romance careful to leave little to the imagination. While one person reacted with surprise and sometimes shock, the other thought that the fuss was exaggerated.

Office Romance (2026)IMDb 5.9 Watch on Netflix • Jackie Cruz, an ambitious CEO of the airline Air Cruz, has strict policies in her company.
