Some series peak briefly and then quickly disappear from view, but… Nemesis (2026– ) continues to perform remarkably well. The American crime series is doing great and has been in the international Netflix top 10 for five weeks now. The series is also still being talked about on social media.
Word in LA
Nemesis premiered on Netflix in mid-May and was created by Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole. The series revolves around a dangerous game between LAPD detective Isaiah Stiles and master criminal Coltrane Wilder. As the two try to outsmart each other on the streets of Los Angeles, the lines between good and evil become increasingly blurred.

A fixed concept
Behind the success of Nemesis also conceals a well-known name. Co-creator Kemp was previously responsible for the hit series Power (2014–2020), which became one of the most popular crime dramas on American television. According to Kemp, her formula is not just about crime and action, but mainly about complex characters, moral choices and conflicts in which no one is completely good or bad.

6.0 Watch on Netflix • Follow the story of two men on opposite sides of the law, the story of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective).
