A big surprise in the current Netflix Top 10: Street Kings (2008) is being very closely watched at the moment. The exciting action thriller with Keanu Reeves, Chris Evans, Hugh Laurie and Forest Withaker is apparently very popular with subscribers!

The plot is compelling, engaging and continues to develop, and while I had an inkling about one plot twist, I didn’t see them all coming. The film is perfectly paced, not a moment is boring or overwhelming.

Whatever you think of Reeves as an actor, I have come to appreciate him more and more in recent years. That may also be because he rarely makes bad films. Street Kings is definitely among the top of his oeuvre, both in terms of acting and the film itself.
