We still have a long wait, but Disney Pixar is already unveiling the first teaser for their latest production: Gatto (2027). The animated film, with voice roles for Mark Ruffalo and Laurence Fishburne, features very first images that already promise a great adventure!
Gatto
This year we have as Jumpers (2026) in the cinema and this summer Disney Pixar is all about the release of Toy Story 5 (2026), but that doesn’t mean the team is standing still. In fact: the first trailer for Gatto has already been shared. This animated film, about stray cats in Italy, will not be released until 2027.
First teaser
The short teaser of Gatto begins with the well-known sounds of The Godfather (1972) and with that we already know exactly what kind of film the animation will be. What follows is a chat between three cats, one of whom is questioned about a missing piece of tuna. The three become distracted, as cats often are, by the small light hanging above them.
Where goes Gatto over?
After years of wandering the shadowy alleys of Venice, the cat Nero begins to question the choices made in his previous lives. However, there is not much time for philosophizing: he is deeply in debt to Rocco, the city’s ruthless mafia boss. Caught in a difficult position, Nero is forced to make an unexpected alliance. This special friendship may be his only chance to achieve his goal, unless the treacherous Venice proves fatal for him.

Cast members
Gatto is Disney Pixar’s latest animated film and was created by Enrico Casarosa. This is no stranger to both Disney Pixar and Italy, because the maker also directed the colorful animated film Luca (2021). Mark Ruffalo is part of the cast and will voice Nero. He is joined by Laurence Fishburne, who voices Rocco.
When in the cinema?
Although Disney Pixar is already sharing the teaser and revealing what we can expect with Gattowe really have to be patient before we can check out the new animated film in the cinema. Gatto just comes in March 2027 out.
