We finally got our hands on the first trailer for Heart of the Beast (2026). In this hard-hitting survival thriller, Brad Pitt plays James Belmont, a Special Forces soldier who must survive after his plane crashes in the wilderness. The first images already promise a lot of brutal action.

After a Formula 1 driver in F1 The Movie (2025) and a hitman in Bullet Train (2022), Brad Pitt ventures with Heart of the Beast to the role of a Special Forces veteran. Paramount Pictures has shared the first trailer, immediately showing what we can expect from the survival thriller.
Survival in the wild
In Heart of the Beast follows a former Special Forces soldier whose survival skills are put to the test when his private plane crashes in the unforgiving wilderness of Alaska. Cut off from civilization, he embarks on a difficult journey over ice-cold rivers and treacherous mountain passes. His only ally is Odin, his retired service dog. Together they brave the elements and fight side by side against wolves, bears and the bitter cold in a desperate battle for survival.

When in the cinema?
Heart of the Beast is the latest film by David Ayers, known for, among others The Beekeeper (2024) in Suicide Squad (2016). It’s not the first time he’s hit Pitt; he also directed it in 2014 Fury (2014). The cast of Heart of the Beast is supplemented by JK Simmons and Anna Lambe, among others. The survival thriller will be released in theaters on September 24.
