
The world of ocean racing is in mourning. The announcement was confirmed this Thursday, June 11 by his team and his family. Norman skipper Charlie Dalin, who stunned the sailing world by winning the 2024-2025 Vendée Globe and in the process setting the record for the event (64 days, 19 hours, 22 minutes and 49 seconds) died at the age of 42. The sailor, diagnosed with cancer in 2023, leaves an indelible mark in the world of sailing.
