Bulgaria stops arms deliveries to Ukraine
Bulgaria will no longer supply weapons from its public military stocks to Ukraine, the Prime Minister of this NATO and EU member country announced on Wednesday June 10. At the head of the government after the victory of his party in the legislative elections in May, Rumen Radev, pleads for a dialogue with Russia, which invaded Ukraine in 2022, and criticizes the military aid granted to kyiv.
“We have already given enough, while our country continues to suffer socio-economic losses due to this bloody war,” he added. He said he was “convinced that a peaceful solution cannot be achieved by military means.” “This is why we once again call for a comprehensive and realistic approach to this war and the search for a diplomatic solution,” he continued.
Russian arms factory hit
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian-made cruise missiles struck a Russian arms factory in central Russia overnight, one of the rare attacks of its kind. Ukraine is working to develop its own missiles to make up for the lack of supplies from its Western allies.
“Last night, Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingos struck a military factory in Cheboksary that supplies the occupying army with components for drones and missiles,” the Ukrainian president said. He posted a video showing a missile heading toward its target and plumes of smoke above a building. Cheboksary is a Russian city located some 1,000 km from the border, in Chuvashia.
