Henry Cavill, known for The Witcher (2019– ), has found his next project. The actor who will soon be seen in Highlanderwill star opposite Kevin Hart in a new, as-yet-untitled action comedy for Netflix. The film is directed by McG, known for, among others Charlie’s Angels (2000), We Are Marshall (2006) in Terminator Salvation (2009).
Spy and father
The new film centers on two rival spies who unexpectedly meet during a pregnancy course for expectant parents. As their wives become friends, the men discover that they are both living a secret double life. What starts as an awkward rivalry turns into a situation where they are forced to work together. Their lives as a spy and future father collide in a hilarious and dangerous way. Gradually, the two turn from competitors into unlikely allies.
Secrecy as to details
The project is based on a short story by writer Sean Lewis that was adapted into a screenplay by Adam and Aaron Nee. Although the basics of the story are now known, Netflix is keeping details about the characters the actors will play a secret for now.
