At the end of April, Netflix announced that the Dutch drama Paazonly a few months after its cinema release, could quickly be found among the offerings. We had to wait a while for it, but today is the day. The acclaimed drama film can now be seen on Netflix.
Psychiatric department
Emma is sure: she is happy. She has a successful career, a sweet boyfriend and wonderful parents. Moreover, she is talented, funny and smart. Until she suddenly ‘voluntarily’ ends up in the psychiatric ward of a hospital. Complete short circuit? A burnout? She herself is convinced that this is a huge mistake. She’s a completely normal person, right? Or are the cracks really starting to show?
Gaite Jansen
The direction of Paaz is owned by Anne van Clercq. She previously made the documentary especially for Netflix Quick: Go outside without a jacket (2021) and also directed Soof 3 (2022). The leading roles in the Dutch production are for Gaite Jansen (Peaky Blinders (2013–2022)), Gijs Blom (The Battle of the Scheldt (2020)), Jonas Smulders and Georgina Verbaan.
