
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday June 4 in an open letter in which he also offered a “complete ceasefire” while negotiations to end the war took place.
“Ukraine is proposing to end this war through direct engagement between you and us. I propose a meeting,” Mr. Zelensky wrote in this letter addressed to Vladimir Putin, adding that kyiv was “ready for a complete ceasefire for the duration of the negotiations.”
