
Editorial director of La Croix since 2023, Anne Ponce will leave the management of the newspaper on Tuesday June 30, announced the Bayard group, publisher of the Catholic daily.
“Joining Bayard in 1988, throughout her career within the Group (at La Croix, then Okapi, Panorama, Le Pèlerin, etc.) she worked to strengthen the bond of trust with our readers, to lead the editorial teams in the service of editorial excellence and to support and embody developments in journalism in a context of profound transformation of the media sector,” we can read in the press release released by the group.
It was notably under her leadership that the newspaper created a weekend weekly in 2019, before she became editorial director.
“As editorial director of La Croix since November 2023, Anne has continued the editorial and digital development of the newspaper, consolidating its line recognized for its quality, its requirements and its independence,” explains the Bayard group. Who salutes “her commitment, her professionalism and the decisive contribution” she has made to the influence of the group’s titles.
