
The energy transition will also have a fiscal cost. With the planned end of fossil fuels, energy tax revenues (nearly 60 billion euros today) will melt like snow under a scorching sun: 10 billion less in 2030, and 30 billion in 2050, estimates the Council for Compulsory Deductions (CPO), in a report published Wednesday June 3.
