Since the victory of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) against Arsenal on Saturday May 30, 2026, the images of the excesses that occurred during the night have dethroned the scenes of jubilation on the continuous news channels and social networks. According to the report announced by Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez on Sunday noon, 780 people were arrested throughout France. This is 32% more than during PSG’s first victory in the Champions League, on May 31, 2025, which was also punctuated by serious incidents. These arrests led to 457 police custody on the evening of this new victory, compared to 307 a year ago.
