
It is undoubtedly through The Adventure of “La Method” (Seuil, 176 p., €18), published in 2015, that an initial dive into the immense work of Edgar Morin can be made. The sociologist and philosopher, 104 years old, died Friday May 29, had brought together, in a single inspired breath, decades of fundamental research, striking civic commitments and moral or spiritual thoughts. It was indeed a life “adventure” that the author of more than a hundred books shared with his audience, tens of thousands of readers around the world, his work being translated into around thirty languages.
