
Consular elections have never been so closely followed by the parties. This little-known ballot, which is being held on May 30 and 31 to allow 1.8 million French people living abroad to elect their representatives to the consulates, usually gets little attention. But the electoral context has revived the interest of political leaders, due to the upcoming senatorial and presidential elections.
