Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they had targeted a US base in retaliation for earlier US strikes in the south of the country, according to state television Irib.
The Kuwaiti army had announced earlier that it was repelling “enemy missile and drone attacks”.
6:09 a.m. – Missile attacks on Kuwait
Kuwait is facing missile and drone attacks, the emirate’s army said, shortly after the United States announced strikes against southern Iran.
“Kuwaiti air defenses are currently repelling attacks by enemy missiles and drones,” the Kuwaiti army wrote on the social network X.
6:05 a.m. – Iran fires on four ships towards Hormuz
Iranian forces fired on four ships attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, state television (Irib) reported.
“Four ships attempted to cross the Strait of Hormuz and enter the Persian Gulf without coordination with security forces,” Irib wrote on Telegram, specifying that the incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. (local time), but without providing details on the type of ships or their nationality.
“They were warned, but when they ignored the warning, warning shots were fired at them, forcing them to turn back,” she added.
