
Amazon MGM Studios is fully committed to artificial intelligence within the entertainment sector. The studio has announced the new GenAI Creators’ Fund, an initiative that aims to support filmmakers, digital creators and tech start-ups in developing films and television series using AI technology. As part of the initiative, Amazon MGM Studios immediately announced three new animated series for Prime Video.

According to the studio, the goal is not to replace creative professionals, but to give them additional options during the production process. “The most important thing is that we remain people-centric,” said Albert Cheng, Chief Operating Officer of Amazon MGM Studios. “AI tools aim to enhance human creativity and enable projects that were previously unthinkable.”
First animated series announced
The series that Amazon announced are called MGM Studios Punky Duck , Love, Diana Music Hunters van Cupcake & Friends.
These are the loglines of the projects that Amazon MGM Studios has approved:
Punky Duck: An adorable punk duck and his best friend, Smiley Cat, rampage through a wildly over-the-top Los Angeles, hilariously encountering alien invasions, giant monsters, robot criminal conspiracies, telenovela-style family dramas, and supernatural mayhem — all while trying (and mostly failing) to do the right thing.
Love, Diana Music Hunters: Based on pocket.watch creator partner Diana, the most followed girl on YouTube, a young band of K-pop musicians traveling through space race to the planet Goo, where they must perform a concert to restore the music and save the aliens.
Cupcake & Friends: A relatable cupcake and her friends take on the hilarious and exciting challenges of a sleepover, with unexpected twists around every corner.
