Liputan6.com, Jakarta – OpenAI has introduced the GPT-4.1 which is the successor for AI Multimodal GPT-4O which was launched last year.

On the show live streaming conducted on Monday, April 14, 2025, Openai said GPT-4.1 has a bigger and better context window than GPT-4O in almost every dimension.

The big increase is also presented in coding and subsequent instructions.

Like its predecessor, GPT-4.1 Mini is more affordable for developers who want to experiment. While there is also GPT-4.1 Nano, a lighter model which according to OpenAI has become the smallest, faster, and cheapest AI model so far.

These three AI models can process up to one million Tokens Context: be it text, images, or videos in the command. This amount is far more than the 128,000 GPT-4O token limit which is currently massively used.

“We train GPT-4.1 to handle information reliably throughout the length of the context that reaches 1 million,” Openai said in the upload of the announcement about the model.
