The life of a celebrity isn’t always a bed of roses, and Sydney Sweeney can relate to that. The Euphoria star is not only looked at by fans and journalists for her roles, but also for her appearance. Few stars say ‘no’ to a token of appreciation, but in a major interview with Glamour Sweeney tells how things regularly get out of hand for her.
Through the roof
The 27-year-old Sweeney’s fame went through the roof with the first season of Euphoriaafter which she appeared in the cinema rom-com Anyone But You (2023) and the superhero movie Madame Web (2024). In conversation with the media zine, she focused in particular on the enormous attention paid to her body, both online and in various media.
Impudent requests
Sweeney reveals that paparazzi in particular have overstepped their bounds more than once, especially by visiting her at home and making brazen requests:
They said, ‘if she comes out in her bikini we’ll take some pictures and then leave her alone’ (…) Why would I want the paparazzi to come around at all while I’m at home with my family and my baby nephews?
With the latter, the series star responds to online accusations against herself and some other celebrities, who are then accused of correct would seek the attention of journalists and would even tip them off on their own initiative.
“I have pictures of these guys in kayaks hiding in the bushes,” continues the actress, who claims that some of them were happy to stay at their posts for a full working day (from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., ed.). “I should feel comfortable and safe at home.”
8.3Sweeney is expected back on the set of next year Euphoriathe HBO hit series that is finally scheduled to reshoot. This spring she was seen in the horror film in the Netherlands Immaculate (2024).
