The next film by A Real Pain maker Jesse Eisenberg is starting to take shape. The director and actor has cast another three names for a new musical under the mantle of the popular A24, of which the recordings also started this month.
Step forward
For years we were mainly used to seeing Eisenberg as an actor, but in recent years the 41-year-old Hollywood star mainly has taken steps as a maker. According to the makers, Moore plays a “shy woman who is unexpectedly cast in a musical production, and then goes to extremes to master the role”. The provisional synopsis reveals that she is at least confronted with a demanding theater director.
Eisenberg will not only direct the musical and play it in, he has also written the music and the lyrics. The supervision of the musical part is in the hands of the experienced Steven Gizicki, who also had this role LA LA LAND (2016) in A Complete Unknown (2024). A release date of the musical is still missing.
