We finally know when we can expect Netflix’s next exciting crime thriller from Scandinavian soil! The streaming service announced the arrival of the Swedish thriller series last year Blood sacrifice (2026) and we now have a release date! Cops murdered
It’s high summer in Stockholm and it barely gets dark at night. An emergency call comes in about a burglary in a summer house on one of the islands off the coast. Two police officers go to investigate, but find no one at the house. At least, that’s how it seems. The next day the bodies of the two officers are found; they were brutally killed.
Terrifying murders
This turns out to be just the beginning of a series of terrifying murders, all of which seem to be aimed at the police. The lead detective sees no other way out and asks his father, a retired detective, for help to solve the case.

George Kay
blood sacrifice, which was previously known at Netflix as The Caseis the work of George Kay. He previously made series such as Lupin (2021– ), Criminal: United Kingdom (2019–2020), The Long Shadow (2023) in Hijack (2023– ). The new Swedish crime drama is directed by Kristoffer Nyholm. We see Jakob Oftebro and Peter Andersson in the two leading roles. Other roles are for Electra Hallman, Alexander Abdallah, Henrik Norlén, Lisette T. Pagler, Magnus Krepper, Irina Björklund, Anders Mossling and Anna Maria Käll.
