
“Wanted”, we can read in yellow on large black and white posters plastered in the streets of Orléans. Wanted notices which do not relate to dangerous fugitives, but to 424 paintings which disappeared from the city’s Museum of Fine Arts, a large part of which was looted during the Occupation in 1940.
