At the beginning of this week we broke the sad news that Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill has passed away. More is now known about the cause of death of Neill, who was 78.
Correction
The manager who represents Neill confirms that the actor died on Monday of pneumonia. That’s what the BBC. Philip Grenz, the manager in question, decided to speak to Neill’s family this week after noticing untruths about Neill’s death were appearing on various media platforms.
No connection
In April this year, Neill announced that he was in remission from a type of blood cancer that he had been diagnosed with years earlier. Because there is little time between this message and Neill’s death, some reporting drew a direct link to his earlier illness. This turns out to be incorrect. Neill’s death was unexpected, but was not related to induced symptoms.
Released posthumously
At a time yet to be determined, Neill will be buried in a private setting in New Zealand. In the coming period, several more films will be released in which he can be seen. Last year, the actor completed these recordings in a single intensive period.
