6:32 a.m. – Jordanian military says it shot down three Iranian missiles

Jordan’s armed forces announced this morning that they had destroyed three Iranian ballistic missiles, after the Iranian military claimed to have attacked a base used by the US military in the country.

The three projectiles, launched from Iran, were intercepted after entering Jordanian airspace, according to an army statement.

6:27 a.m. – U.S. Fifth Naval Fleet facilities in Bahrain targeted

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they had targeted US naval installations in Bahrain, state television reported after US strikes in Iran were announced.

The Islamic Republic’s ideological army claims to have struck military equipment warehouses, fuel storage sites and even a command center of the United States Fifth Fleet, according to a statement broadcast by state television.

6:22 a.m. – Iran says Strait of Hormuz will remain closed

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards announced that the strategic Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until the end of US “acts of aggression”, in a statement broadcast by Iranian state television Irib.

Washington launched a new series of strikes against Iran on Tuesday and began blocking its ports again. “Retaliatory operations by fighters will continue, and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States ends its acts of aggression,” the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said.

6:19 a.m. – Iranian forces say they attacked U.S. targets

Iranian forces claimed this morning to have struck US sites in Kuwait as well as Jordan, according to state television, after the United States launched new strikes against Iran.

In Jordan, the Iranian army mobilized drones against hangars used by American forces on the Al-Azraq base, and against an installation housing F-18 fighters, according to a statement broadcast by state television. As for Kuwait, the Revolutionary Guards struck the Mina Abdullah logistics center used by the American army, says another press release.

6:16 a.m. – Kuwait faces hostile drone attacks

The Kuwaiti army said it faced “hostile drone attacks” from Iran overnight, after the United States launched new strikes against Iran.

“Any explosion noise heard results from the interception of these hostile devices by air defense systems,” said the army headquarters on X. Air alert sirens also sounded in Bahrain, according to the interior ministry.

6:13 a.m. – Air warning sirens activated in Bahrain

Air raid sirens were sounded in Bahrain overnight, the interior ministry said, as the United States launched new strikes against Iran on Tuesday.

“The siren sounded. Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and go to the nearest safe place,” the ministry said on X.

6:11 a.m. – Trump threatens to hit power plants

Donald Trump said Tuesday on Fox News that he would strike power plants and bridges in Iran next week if no deal is reached with Tehran.

“Next week it’s going to get really bad for them because next week it’s the turn of the power plants. Next week it will be the turn of the bridges,” unless the Iranians “sit down at the negotiating table,” declared the American president.

6:07 a.m. – Four Kuwaiti soldiers injured

Four Kuwaiti soldiers were injured in one of the Iranian strikes which hit the emirate on Tuesday evening, which intercepted nearly 40 missiles and drones, according to an army statement.

During the “heinous Iranian aggression (…), a navy ship was targeted and four members of the armed forces were injured. They received the necessary medical care,” the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense said on X. He also reported “attacks on several vital and civilian installations” responsible for material damage.

6:01 a.m. – The US military launches a new round of strikes

The US military, which is preparing to resume its blockade of Iranian ports, announced on Tuesday that it had launched a new series of strikes against Iran in order to prevent it from attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The strikes resumed at 3:00 p.m. Washington time, according to a message on X from the US Middle East Command (Centcom).

  • Kuwait announced on Tuesday that it was facing attacks in its airspace, while Iran has intensified its strikes in the Gulf region in recent days.
