We have been waiting for the sequel for a long time Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). Still late Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (2027) will still have to wait a little while. We have had to endure disappointment after disappointment regarding this animated film, but now there is finally a hopeful update on the development!
Postponed
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was actually supposed to appear on the silver screen more than two years ago, but due to the Hollywood strikes and other setbacks, the animated film had to wait a while. The release date has been postponed considerably: June 24, 2027. So we have to wait a little longer… However, the makers now have a very nice update!

“We’re in the middle of it,” screenwriters Phil Lord and Christopher Miller say in The Empire Podcast. “We go to IMAX headquarters to see what the footage looks like on a large scale and to make sure it’s the right resolution to look great,” Miller said. According to the writing duo, developments are going well, but a lot still needs to be done.
‘A lot of work to be done’
“We’re working hard in the editing room with the team and it’s starting to look really good,” Miller told the podcast. “It’s a very big movie and there’s still a lot of work to be done.” Lord agrees: “It’s great fun.” Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse concludes the Spider-Verse trilogy and continues the story of Miles Morales.
