Videoland expands the royal Maximum (2024– ) out with a brand new series: Mabel & Margarita. The spin-off of the popular title is taking shape and now features the very first images. What do we already know about the new series?

Maximum has already had two seasons on Videoland and the third part of the royal series is also on its way. It doesn’t stop there, because Videoland is expanding the world of Máxima with a new series. The streaming service is launching a spin-off about Princess Mabel and Princess Margarita.

Recordings completed
The recordings of Mabel & Margaritawhat the series will be called, were already completed last week. Videoland has even treated us to some first images! The spin-off is about the princesses Mabel and Margarita, who became increasingly famous in the 1990s and therefore came under a magnifying glass. As external pressure grows, Mabel Wisse Smit and Margarita de Bourbon de Parme search for their own voice within an institution that is bigger than themselves.

The cast includes Claire Bender as Mabel. She had also previously appeared in this role Maximum. Videoland has now announced who will play Margarita. Laura Bakker, known for Eyeballs (2019–2025) in Kees Flodder (2026– ), can also be seen alongside Bender in the upcoming series. Mabel & Margarita is directed by Saskia Diesing, Joosje Duk and Hiba Vink. The screenplay is by Judith Goudsmit, Randa Peters, Alix van der Goes, Jikkie Schelling and Diesing.

When on Videoland?
