There has already been a lot to do, and there will probably be no less in the near future: the introduction of AI actress Tilly Norwood. Shortly after the news of her availability in 2025, it became clear that several talent managers wanted to sign Norwood, and now it has been confirmed that the actress will actually make her film debut.

Misalignedthat is the name of the coming-of-age drama starring Norwood. The already special film is set in a digital world in which we get to know Tilly, who has no life experience of her own but does have access to that of others. Things start to spiral out of control when Tilly comes into contact with a bot on the dark web, which causes her to develop desires, impulses and ambitions. Is Tilly still an AI or is she slowly becoming human?
Dutch impulse
This film will be produced by Particle 6, the AI-oriented company that Norwood also introduced. Founder Eline van der Velden, a Dutch woman, responds that her company’s work makes an important point. “The filmmakers who will be successful in the next decade are the ones who know how to use new tools,” she says Misaligned mentions as an example.
Important indicator
The production of Misaligned is still in its early stages, so it will take quite some time before the film is released. Only time will tell whether the criticism of the actress’s introduction intensifies further towards the release moment. Either way, it’s clear that the success or failure of this film could become an important indicator for further creative experiments with AI-powered acting.
