The National Assembly approved on Tuesday June 30, by 295 votes to 232, the text of the law on assisted dying. The deputies voted in favor of the text at third reading, just as during the two previous votes. In May 2025, the bill was approved by 305 votes to 199, then last February by 299 votes to 226.
The text must return on July 7 to the Senate, which has already rejected it twice, and should oppose it again. This will lead to a final vote in the Assembly, which will have the last word, set for July 15.
