The next National Disability Conference (CNH), postponed due to the heatwave affecting France, will take place on September 4, announced Thursday June 25 Camille Galliard-Minier, Minister for Autonomy and People with Disabilities, on social networks.

A highly anticipated meeting for associations, this national conference, established by the law of February 11, 2005, takes place every three years to define the broad outlines of public disability policies. Under the aegis of the President of the Republic, it brings together members of the government, elected officials, institutions and associations.

Initially scheduled for Thursday, it was postponed due to the heatwave which risked particularly affecting the vulnerable public who were to attend.

It will be held at the Prisme de Bobigny, a sports and para-sports center built for the 2024 Olympic Games in Seine-Saint-Denis, the minister indicated in a video on Linkedin.

Expected measures

The previous one took place on April 26, 2023. During this sixth edition, President Emmanuel Macron announced a series of measures in different areas (education, employment, accessibility, etc.) to facilitate the daily life of people with disabilities and their inclusion, for example full reimbursement for wheelchairs. A measure in place since December 2025.

He also announced the deployment of 50,000 new support solutions for people with disabilities and funding, to the tune of 1.5 billion euros, to improve the accessibility of public places.
