De Videoland Original drama series IT JUST IS tells the moving story of a legendary career that was cut short far too soon. It is a compelling portrait of Marco van Basten: the quintessential Dutch boy who grew into a global football phenomenon. From his youth and the lessons of Johan Cruijff at Ajax, to his legendary European Championship wonder goal and the glory days at AC Milan; everything passes.
The price is high
His ambition was clear: to become the greatest. But the price of that heroism was sky-high. Suffocated by the immense expectations of the outside world and of himself, Van Basten pushed the absolute limits. Until the physical and mental pain caught up with him. How far will you go to make your ultimate childhood dream come true?
Who do we see? IT JUST IS?
The role of Marco van Basten is introduced IT JUST IS performed by Chris Peters. We also see Tibor Lukács as Johan Cruiff and Chantal Janzen plays the role of Danny Cruijff. The cast of the new sports series is supplemented by, among others, Barbara Sloessen, Hans Dagelet, Remko Vrijdag and Hajo Bruijns. IT JUST IS is directed by Remy van Heugten and the screenplay is written by Thomas van der Ree.
