Netflix has released the trailer for Donggung (2026), a new Korean fantasy series that will be released on the platform later this summer. The images show, among other things, a cursed palace full of wandering ghosts.
Skeptical king summons a ghost hunter
Donggung revolves around Gu-cheon, who can move between the world of the living and the dead, and Saeng-gang, a lady-in-waiting who can hear the dead. When the king gives them the task of unraveling the mysteries of the crown prince’s palace, they find themselves in a dark world full of troubled spirits.

Gu-cheon is played by Nam Joo-hyuk (The Great Battle (2018), Twenty Five Twenty One (2022)), Saeng-gang by Roh Yoon-seo (Hear Me: Our Summer (2024), 20th Century Girl (2022)) and the king is played by Cho Seung-woo (He won’t (2006), Chunhyangdyun (2000)). The series is directed by Jung Kyu Choi.
