By realityfranchise Survivor from CBS makes the transition to the silver screen. Paramount Animation is working on an animated film based on the TV show that has been running since 2000. Presenter and executive producer Jeff Probst is involved in the project, Probst reports via Instagram.
Expedition Robinson
Survivor is similar to Expedition Robinson. A group of participants are dropped off on a tropical island, where they have to survive together. They also play games to earn immunity or rewards and there are voting rounds in which participants are eliminated; In the end there remains a winner.
Reinterpretation as an animated film
In the animated film, instead of real candidates, animals will compete with each other. Probst reports that the film will be a comedy in which alliances, betrayal and strategy remain central.
No release date yet
An exact release date or cast has not yet been announced. It is clear that the film is in an early stage of development. Survivor has been running since 2000 and released its fiftieth season on television earlier this year.
