
Daveigh Chase, the actress who broke through in Hollywood as a child with roles in The Ring (2002) in Lilo & Stitch (2002), has died, TMZ reports based on a statement from her boyfriend Roy Hernandez. According to him, she died last Tuesday from complications of meningitis and blood infection.
A career full of celebrated roles
Chase broke through at a young age and built a versatile career. She was the voice of Lilo in the movie Lilo & Stitch from 2002 and lent her voice to Chihiro Ogino in the English version of Spirited Away (2001). She also became known for her role as Samara Morgan in The Ring and she had a role in it Donnie Darko (2001). She also starred in all five seasons of Big Love (2006–2011) as Rhonda Vormer.
Parting
Chase was hospitalized in LA this month and passed away last Tuesday. Chase was 35 years old.
